Welcome to 2020!! We hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and a lovely New Year!
The first Monday of the year is over and it’s safe to say it’s back to business as usual, this year is shaping up to be a very busy year with numerous new exciting productions starting over the coming weeks.
We thought we would take 5 and bring you a quick round up of what we got up to in 2019, what a year it was, we worked on over 250 Commercials and Corporate productions and on over 40 Drama, Film & TV Productions.
Below we have picked out 5 productions over the year that our members have enjoyed working on..
- The Knight Before Christmas
We had hundreds of members out on this festive production which was about a medieval knight who is transported to the present day, where he falls for a high school science teacher who’s disillusioned by love. Starring Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Whitehouse, this production brought an early festive cheer to our members in the middle of the year. You can watch this amazing production over on Netflix!
- Normal People
The second novel by esteemed Irish author, Sally Rooney, was brought to life on the screen with over 2,000 of our members taking part. The production follows Marianne and Connell, from different backgrounds but the same small town in Ireland, as they weave in and out of each other’s romantic lives.
- Abrahams Project
This Sci-fi production is set a long long way into the future, it has already had hundreds of our members out on set. Set to get much bigger in 2020, this production will be as big as it gets.
- Finding Joy 2
We had hundreds of members involved in Finding joy and they had a great time on set. So when a second season was announced, there was great joy with our members. The RTE comedy written and starring Amy Huberman is definitely one to watch next year when it comes on air.
- This Nan’s Life
Co-Written and starring the comedian Catherine Tate, this was one of the highlight productions during the year. There was a fantastic atmosphere on set and as you can imagine, there was plenty of laughter to go around. Due to be released in June 2020, this is definitely worth watching.
Alongside the above our members have been out on the set of dozens of exciting productions such as:
Blood Season 2, Cold Courage, Crimecall, Deer Park, Fair City, Fairytale of New York, Hair Raisers, Miss Scarlet & The Duke, Penance, The Professional, There You Will Find Me as well as many more.
It was also a highly successful year for our members who took part in hundreds of adverts and commercials in 2019 for some of Ireland’s leading brands such as:
Aer Lingus, AIG, ALDI, An Post, Avonmore, AXA, Bord Gais, Brown Thomas, Bulmers, Cadbury’s, Centre Parcs, Donegal Catch, Dublin Airport, Eir, Four Star Pizza, Failte Ireland, Fruice, Glanbia, Guinness, Heineken, Jameson, KBC Bank, Kerrygold, MACE, MiWadi, Musgraves, Paddy Power, Pfizer, Renault, Rockshore Beer, Skoda, Smyths Toys, SuperValu, Tesco, Tourism Ireland, UEFA Euro 2020, Ulster Bank and Vodafone
