Registering with MovieExtras.ie is very straight forward. There are two membership options. These are:
- Individual Membership for six months (€59.95 for 6 months) for online registration
- Individual Membership for one year paid yearly (€89.95 per year) for online registration.
- Family Membership (up to 6 members) is priced at €199 per annum for online registration
You can register your details and upload your own photographs online. There is no experience required
By being a member to MovieExtras.ie, you get the following:
- One year / six months membership to MovieExtras.ie directory and casting service
- Your own personal microsite with your photos and details
- Your details will be available for any casting work that MovieExtras.ie provides (such as Fair City, where we provide all the extras)
- Over 500 companies and casting directors can contact you for work as an extra, model, actor and for promotional work
- Updates about auditions and TV programmes seeking contestants and audiences

Please Note:
The vast majority of the work for extras in Ireland is in the Dublin, Wicklow and Greater Dublin Area. Though there has been a recent increase in productions outside Dublin.
Generally most of the work is for adults. While we do accept under 18's onto our book, please note that there is not a huge amount of work for them (have a look at any Irish production and you will see why).Though we do need some!!
Because of the nature of the business there is no guarantee that you will be cast for a role. However, we do endeavour to get work for as many of our members as possible (indeed our business depends on it!). Over 500 production companies have registered to use the service and we have supplied extras to many of the largest productions in Ireland in recent years. Having good availability will benefit you in getting roles.
